How many days do I need in Seoul?

4-5 days covers palaces, markets, neighborhoods, and a DMZ trip. Add 2-3 days for day trips to Suwon or Jeonju, or to explore the nightlife and shopping scene.

Is Seoul safe for tourists?

Extremely safe — one of the safest major cities in Asia. Violent crime is very rare. The biggest concern is minor scams in tourist areas. Public transport is excellent and runs late.

Do I need to speak Korean?

Not essential. Major tourist areas have English signage, and younger Koreans often speak some English. Download Papago or Google Translate for menus and signs. Learning basic phrases is appreciated.
